Relief for Stress Symptoms

I have spent many years looking for relief for stress in my life.  Of course, you only realise you are stressed when you note there are various symptoms affecting you in different situations.

Now I have the time to find the best information and knowledge on the internet and elsewhere to relieve stress and anxiety and to cope with stress at all levels.  By adding to this information regularly, visitors to this site will also benefit from the data that I felt was the best to help beat our day to day problems.

My special interest – in fact my passion – has always been to try to understand what makes people tick!   The excellent book 400 Strategies for a Stressfree Life certainly helped me think about how to ensure the ticking is calm, measured and regular!

I would liken my life to a river! It started off small and gentle but became bigger, deeper and stronger as it headed for the ocean! As we pass along our river some sections are rough and rocky whilst others are calm, serene and refreshing. During the calm periods we should prepare ourselves for the rougher sections that inevitably lie ahead. Lets remember to learn from each experience as we pass through for we should never take life for granted! A strong gale could blow up at any time even during the quietest times.

Identifying Symptoms of Stress

I have found the symptoms of stress to be so sneaky!  They creep up and are all over you before you realise what has happened!  I’ll bet this has happened to you!  One day you can deal with anything, the next, you just can’t handle anything right, the slightest thing sets you off and you want to scream the place down!

So recognise your symptoms of stress especially if you have any of these:

Headaches, sleeplessness, changed eating habits, tenseness, stomach problems, indigestion, breathing problems, anxiety attacks, irritability, lack of interest, indecisiveness, feelings of worthlessness, losing your creative edge, smoking and drinking more, lack of job satisfaction, unproductive, raised tensions with colleagues.

You may experience all of these as part of your normal life at one time or another with no ill effects. They only become of concern when several occur together, for longer periods and you feel unable to shake them off.

So to cope with stress you have to develop a positive mindset to manage stress in your lives at home, work and play.  The  excellent guide mentioned above offers solutions to the many different types of stress, anxiety and panic that appear and affect us so much.  Check it out.

Surprisingly, it’s all due to you!  Yes, thats right – you cause your own stress!  Doesn’t sound right does it? But it’s true!  Your mental approach decides totally how you react to unexpected, stressful situations!

Your mind is a wonderful thing but you have to train it to cope with stress and to achieve relief for stress properly.

When faced with the unexpected, your brain goes into overdrive causing physical symptoms throughout your body by subconsciously developing your “fight or flight” response.  It floods your body with adrenaline and other stress linked hormones preparing for a worst event that might never happen! In the distant past, this response allowed us to stay alive and cope with stress in dangerous situations.

Nowadays, this surge of chemicals is a total over-reaction.   Such constant arousal can only  lead to chronic stress and could have a serious effect on your health longer term. You must watch out for when you are vulnerable for that’s when it is so easy to reach out and start comfort eating.

You must watch out for when you are vulnerable for that’s when it is so easy to reach out and start comfort eating! Don’t do it!!

Have you noticed that some days you react much more to stress whilst on others you seem to have a remedy for stress ready in your pocket?

Have you ever wondered why?

Could it be that your overall approach is more positive to cope with stress on these days?

Perhaps this is what we all need to develop?

Why is it some people seem to manage stress much better than others?

Do they just have a different mind set?

Could you develop yours too?

So to cope with stress you have to develop a mind set to manage stress in all aspects of your lives wherever you are at the time.  I have already mentioned that there is an excellent guide that offers solutions to the many situations in which different types of stress and anxiety appear and affect us.   To check it out , please   Click Here!

Relief For Stress With Hypnosis

There seems to be stress nowadays in everything we do – stress at work, stress within your family, stress in relationships, stress in exams and a million other things.  Yes, stress is everywhere and can have a really negative impact –  if you let it.   Life is so short… we all know it, but at the end of the day we seem to be stressing about that instead of enjoying it. Isn’t it time to reclaim your life from stress?  Make stress a forbidden word in your world? Isn’t it time that you RELAXED and examined the benefits of hypnosis!   Click Here! to change your life!

Of course the very act of developing positive thoughts to relieve stress and to reduce stress and its impact successfully is in its own way a form of self hypnosis.  You talk to yourself about the behaviour you want to change or develop and you ask your subconscious mind to help in reducing stress levels in your body.

Many people when they think about hypnosis, sees that stage act where involved members carry out silly actions to amuse the audience.  But that type of hypnosis is far removed from what we’ re talking about here.

Most stress develops from the reaction between your mind and the external environment around you which causes so many negative responses in your body. It is then so easy to see why hypnosis can have such a positive effect as it also is training your mind to work in a more positive way to  prevent stress taking hold.

Hypnosis is an excellent stress relaxation technique to move you into a deeply relaxed focussed state of mind and body.  Stress tends to fog even the most intelligent mind. You can’t think clearly, you can’t seem to focus. This is where hypnotherapy comes in. It helps you relax and clears your mind. It helps your vision and focus.

Once you learn to do that, it will directly reflect in your behavior and outlook towards life. Then you can receive suggestions into your subconscious mind that will have a positive impact on how you cope with stress in your life.

There are properly trained and qualified professional hypnotists who will help you through that first stage by using hypnosis to suggest ways to manage stress and cope with stress in your life.  Usually you will also receive further tapes or CDs for reinforcement.  Believe me, self hypnosis can transform your life but it’s just finding the courage to take that first step onto the process.

For so many people, hypnosis has been a very successful tool in their fight to manage and reduce stress.  Often they have found hypnosis so helpful they have expanded its use into other fields such as stopping smoking, controlling weight gain and even management of pain.

The first time – even if you have reservations –  remember you have nothing to lose, make yourself believe that it will really help you, be positive in your attitude towards its benefits and you will find it will pay dividends.  After completing your first hypnosis procedures, you can go on to develop your own self hypnosis techniques in lots of different areas of your life by building on what you have learned and what you can download here.

I have completed several hypnotism courses and succeeded in stopping smoking after years spent trying many different ways to kick the habit.  I have also used hypnotism to improve my stress management, improve my golf handicap and to enable me to sleep like a log.  I have certainly found it very worthwhile and would not hesitate to recommend trying out hypnosis in other situations.

Please ensure that your chosen hypnotist has appropriate qualifications, experience and testimonials.  With an excellent variety of courses available, I strongly recommend you take advantage of one of the best   Click Here!

Relief For Stress By Meditation

Meditation is just one of a number of anxiety relaxation techniques that can help you provide relief for stress and the effects of stress in your life.

When trying to cope with stress it allows you to take stock of your feelings and level of physical tension.  It gives a period of quiet time to bring your body back into harmony.

To practise meditation, first find a quiet place where it is possible to relax without interruption or distraction and especially with no telephone.

Sit in a comfortable chair or on the floor with your spine straight, shut your eyes, start your slow breathing technique and tell your mind and body to prepare to relax and get rid of all your stress.

Imagine a pleasant relaxed place that you can see in your mind’s eye.  I visualise a beautiful tropical island when I need relief for stress in my life and it has worked extremely well over the years for me.

Picture yourself walking along a lovely golden sandy beach through large palm trees. The wind is rustling through the fronds and beautiful birds sing above. It is magical and truly peaceful.

Hear the waves gently crashing down on the beach and walk slowly along noting the clouds that prevent the sun shining on the beach making the area a little dull.

On your back you have a backpack stuffed with all your stress and difficult problems you have met with today. As you walk along you feel the wind ruffling your hair and pushing your clothes against your skin, you realise that your backpack seems different.

Your troubles are slowly dribbling onto the beach like grains of sand and you have to hold back a smile as you visualise them gone never to bother you again.

Suddenly the sun breaks through and you enjoy the warmth of the sun on your face.
Feel every part of you relaxing in the pleasant heat.

Start at your feet and slowly tighten and then relax each muscle as you visualise moving slowly up your body finally reaching your neck muscles and your head.

Your backpack feels lighter with every step and as it does you feel a lightness in your spirit as you realise your stress and past problems no longer seem to bother you.

You smile to yourself as you arrive at a small stream with clear blue water trickling around stones. You know when you cross this stream you will be invigorated, refreshed and completely relaxed ready to face anything.

You take off your shoes and feel the refreshing cool water washing your feet and ankles as you wade across.

When you reach the other side of the stream you notice that your backpack has fallen in the water and your realise that your stress can float out to sea with it and disappear for ever.

You know that now you can cope with stress of any kind now and in the future.   Slowly you stretch and open your eyes, smiling and feeling totally relaxed.

You know you can face anything in the future that life throws at you!

Totally Tranquil is a revolutionary world renowned technology that allows you to reach a super state of relaxation in only a few minutes.  If you find that you can’t get your head easily round the visualisation relaxation techniques mentioned above, then this is definitely for you!

A free demo is available so you can try it out and see how wonderfully it really works for you.   You will be totally amazed!  You owe it to your self to check it out now. Click Here!

Identifying Symptons Of Stress

It is surprising to discover that our physical and mental condition decides how well we react when confronted with a stressful, difficult situation. It is this reaction to the environment around us that generates stress within us. Click Here!

Our brain causes the physical symptoms by subconsciously developing our “fight or flight” response.  It floods our body with adrenaline and other stress linked hormones to cope with a very stressful situation we might be in -preparing for a worst event that might never happen.

In the distant past, this subconscious response enabled us to stay alive and cope with dangerous situations.   Nowadays, this surge of chemicals is a total over-reaction.   Such constant arousal can lead to chronic stress and could have a serious effect on our health longer term.

Have you noticed that some days you react much more to stress whilst on others you seem to have a remedy for stress ready in your pocket?  Have you ever wondered why?  Could it be that your approach is more positive to cope with stress on these days?  Is this what we all need to develop?  Why is it some people seem to manage stress much better than others?

I learned very quickly is that our bodies react in a particular way to handle a situation before the situation actually develops.

It is worth repeating that our minds cause these physical reactions  and start stress management just in case the worst possible event happens.   If it does, then we would be ready to react.  So stress can develop through worry about what might happen, rather than what is actually happening!  I have found a really useful guide that provides excellent information on how to reduce stress in different situations.   If you want to check it out please Click Here!

My First Experience Of Stress

Feeling stressed?  We all have at one time or another, I know I certainly have.  Click Here!

Here I have gathered on one site the best practice in dealing with stress to be found on the  internet and elsewhere.  It provides comforting advice and guidance in one place to relax you when you are feeling stressed.

I also want to tell you about my very first experience of handling stress and how it shaped my life.

In my mid twenties, my manager was taken ill about one hour before he was due to speak at a seminar in front of over 500 delegates.

I was asked to step in!   Now that really was stress!  As soon as he disappeared in the ambulance with less than 60 minutes to go, my symptoms appeared although I didn’t realise what they were at the time:

Pounding  heart, sweaty hands and body, racing pulse, irregular shallow breathing and a desperate need to go to the bathrooom.

I knew I needed to do something to calm myself or I would not be able to speak at all.  I had helped write his speech so understood the balance he wanted to achieve.  But that did not help my total panic,   I had to get a grip on myself and quickly at that.

I went to my hotel room and pulled down the blinds.  I sat down, closed my eyes and started deep, slow breathing from my abdomen at about 6 breaths a minute.  After 10 minutes or so, my body had quietened and my pulse was down to near normal.

But that was just the start, I had to reduce stress that was really affecting me.  I thought about a few tips for stress relief I had been given but I knew I had to dream up a better relief for stress  than that.

So I went to the mirror and looked at myself, I consciously threw away all my negative thoughts and talked to myself about all my positive skills that would help me through the next hour to cope with stress as I talked.

I could not believe that it would work but it did!

I really began to feel I could do it!   I skimmed through the speech notes and realised it was better than I had thought. I understood and agreed with the arguments he had made and felt I would be able to speak with some authority and confidence.   The audience knew what had happened and, apart from a few nerves at the start, I was fine and was given a heart-warming round of applause at the end.

I gained more from that experience that anything else in my whole life.  It shaped how I approach my working day ever day since and especially my approach to stress.

If you want to practise this breathing exercise to reduce stress but find it difficult to achieve, there is an excellent breathing aid that could be very helpful to you.  Although the system was invented to help lower blood pressure, it is also very useful to others who want to reduce stress and achieve a routinely calm approach to the environment around them.
